Air Canada International Maple Leaf Lounge Review – Montreal (YUL)
WOW! I was not expecting the level of glam, sophistication and style that bombarded me as I entered Air Canada’s International Maple Leaf Lounge last week. It was off the charts!!
They have really scored a home run with this lounge. It’s definitely in the top five of business class clubs that I have ever encountered! Fantastic atmosphere, food and drinks!
Here’s a review of my recent visit:
Slick – Premium – Cool. All words I would use to describe this sanctuary. The International Maple Leaf Lounge feels like an exclusive club for fashionistas and bar flies!
The lounge showcases art and furniture design from a number of leading Quebec artists – so there’s stuff in there you won’t see in any other lounge worldwide.
The bottom line: The lounge looks spectacular and definitely puts Pan Am glam back into the travel experience!
Food & Beverage
There’s a cocktail bar with bartenders whipping up all kinds of libations. I went for a smooth single malt scotch. The bar had breathtaking views of the tarmac as well. I could have sat there all day soaking in the vistas.
There was a separate area if you wanted wines, beers, coffees and other drinks. It was impressive to see a selection of drafts including Guinness (in Canada!).
There was a FULL spread of food. Buffet – and – made-to-order. Self-serve options included salads, crudités, soup, breaded chicken, mashed potatoes and mixed vegetables. Enough for a complete, tasty, meal before one’s flight.
Air Canada also had a chef on hand preparing customized pasta orders as well. I assume in the morning that they make omelets to order.
Air Canada has a winner on their hands! The International Maple Leaf Lounge in Montreal is sleek and slick! I can’t wait to transit through this gem again – hopefully sometime soon!
