Lufthansa Embraer 90 (E90) Business Class Review - Zurich to Munich (ZRH-MUC)
Munich to Zurich is a mini flight that lasts less than 50 minutes. Nevertheless Lufthansa offers a truncated business class service on this route with one of its Embraer 90’s – and manages to even serve a snack.
Here’s a super quick review of my latest flight on this route:
Business Class passengers on the Embraer 90 fly in regular economy seats - but there's a blocked seat next to them. This is a god-send on a packed flight like the one I was on. The back of the jet was 100% full.
The "economy-seat-for-business" is normal in Europe so I expected that. The seats are actually very comfortable and relaxing: grey leather and adequate space (especially with the free seat next to you!). I had no problem pulling out my lap top and working on a few slides.
Beverages and Cuisine
Business Class passengers were offered wine, beer, and spirits – along with a light snack. On today’s flight that was a beef salad on a bed of creamy pesto sauce, German cheeses, chocolate mousse, and truffles. The meal was scrumptious and hit the spot.
They even passed through the cabin with coffee and tea as passengers began eating dessert!
It was really impressive for such a short flight. On American carriers you'd be lucky to get anything beyond nuts on a trip under 60 minutes.
Short Flight – Great Service! Having a hearty snack was an unexpected treat – and the extra space was totally appreciated on Lufthansa's Embraer from Zurich to Munich!
